To connect a BMW M47 M47n engine with a ZF 8HP automatic gearbox converter from a BMW (inline engine version), you need to use a PMC Motorsport gearbox adapter and the OE ring gear along with the converter from the 8HP gearbox you have (flywheel from the automatic version). No additional converter adapter is needed.
2. Which starter should be used when converting ZF 8HP with a BMW M47 M47n engine?
Use the OE starter from BMW M50 M52 M54 S50 S52 S54, the housing needs to be ground down.
