Why Choose the EFR 9274?

The EFR 9274 is the largest frame in the EFR lineup, delivering massive flow headroom while retaining the transient response associated with much smaller turbos. If your build targets four-digit horsepower without sacrificing low-end drivability, the 9274 is the natural choice.

Key Features

  • Power range: 600 – 1 000+ HP (single setup)

  • Airflow capacity: up to 106 lb/min ≈ 1 630 kg/h

  • Bearing system: dual ceramic ball bearing

  • Turbine wheel: 74 mm Gamma-Ti – ultra-low inertia for fast spool

  • Compressor wheel: 72/91 mm FMW with Extended-Tip technology

  • Integrated components:

    • Compressor Recirculation Valve (CRV)

    • Boost Control Solenoid Valve (BCSV)

    • Speed-sensor port for shaft-speed monitoring

Available Turbine Housings

Flange Scroll A/R Wastegate
T3 Single 0.83 internal
T4 Twin 0.92 internal
T4 Twin 1.05 external
T4 Twin 1.45 external

Typical Applications

  • 2.5 – 4.0 L high-performance gasoline engines

  • Drift, time-attack, drag builds needing quick spool with high pressure ratio

  • Single-turbo projects up to ~1 000 HP or twin-turbo setups to 2 000 HP+

User Benefits

  • Lightning-fast boost response thanks to lightweight Gamma-Ti turbine

  • High durability – ceramic bearings and stainless housings

  • Simplified plumbing – built-in CRV & BCSV reduce external components

  • Tuning safety – optional speed sensor helps prevent overspeed

  • Flexible setup – four A/R options, single- or twin-scroll designs

Installation Requirements

  1. Exhaust manifold with T3 or T4 Twin-Scroll flange to match chosen housing.

  2. Full water circuit (inlet at top, outlet at bottom) for thermal stability.

  3. Oil feed with 2 mm restrictor; gravity oil return ‑10 AN min.

  4. 3″ V-Band downpipe.

  5. ECU able to read turbo speed signal and implement overspeed limit.
