Maintain minimum 0.10 mm piston-to-wall clearance for street use; increase per JE chart for race/boosted setups.

Verify valve-to-piston clearances on lifts ≥ 11 mm; machine pockets if required.

Gap rings to match target boost (≈ 0.0055″ × bore for high-performance street, 0.0065–0.0070″ for > 30 psi).

Run high-zinc 5W-40 / 15W-50 oil and shorten change intervals on 800 hp+ engines.
