Nissan RB20 RB25 RB30 7 Litre Weld-On Oil Pan Kit.

The kit is designed to be easy to assemble and the top plate is contoured to ensure a perfect fit.

The kit includes rubber baffle plates inside and a threaded bush along with a sump plug.

The base of the kit fits standard height so there is no change in height clearance, which also allows the use of a standard 2WD sump drag.

Test fit the sump kit after everything is sewn together but before you finish welding the unit. Check ALL clearances, check the oil nipple clears the sides and bottom of the sump, check the K-frame clearance. Confirm fit to the stock engine block with the oil pick-up tube fitted and confirm the clearance between the oil pick-up tube and the sump. Aim for a clearance of around 3-8mm.
Check your work thoroughly BEFORE welding!! All original oil pans are stamped so will vary in size by a few mm either way. No two pans are exactly the same.

During welding the metal will warp due to the heat from the welding process, remember to secure the oil pan to a bracket or spare engine block to reduce/prevent warping. Failure to do this will likely warp the design.

DO NOT paint the inside of the oil pan, "most" paint will separate and end up in the oil pump. If storing for a while before use, lightly oil the inside and clean before fitting.

The rubber flaps should be fitted FINALLY, after all the welding is complete, after the oil pan has been thoroughly cleaned of shavings, grinding dust and chips! Lightly oil the press fit section of the flap with engine oil or WD40 or similar, then insert into the oil pan. This kit uses the stock 2WD front hump oil pick-up tube. If header drain options are required, now is a good time to add them! Note the location of the engine mounts and A/C lines, pumps, etc.
