4 Piston Front Big Brake Kit Fixing 330x32 D2
IMPORTANT! When purchasing, please provide additional information in the order notes, such as: car model, car type (Street, Sport, Racing) and caliper color (purple, yellow, black, green, red). After placing your order, our staff will check availability and confirm the shipping price.
D2 Racing Big Brake Kits offer unrivaled stopping power. The clamps are available in purple, black, yellow and red.
Hollow sports clamps are made of aluminum using a monoblock forging process to achieve an even grain structure. Then CNC 3D technology was used.
The calipers are characterized by reduced weight and very good heat dissipation, which effectively reduces brake temperature and increases braking power.
The clamps have a hot-pressed carbon manufacturer's logo.
Set contains:
- 2 x ventilated discs with slots or holes, with aluminum bells (compatible with all OEM separate handbrake systems, drum, electric, etc.)
- 2 x forged aluminum monobloc brake calipers.
- 2 x braided brake lines.
- All required mounting hardware (brackets, screws, instructions, etc.).
1 x set of brake pads for your choice:
- Street (Resistant to temperatures up to 600 degrees)
- Sports (Resistant to temperatures above 600 degrees)
- Racing (Resistant to temperatures up to 1000 degrees)
Please remember that the clamps will be larger than standard ones and refer to the table below before choosing the clamps:
Minimum wheel size (inches) | Disc Size(mm) |
15 | 286 |
16 | 304 |
17 | 330 |
18 | 356 |
19 | 380 |
20 | 400 |
Differences between slotted and drilled brake discs:
Notched:
In slotted brake discs, small recesses (four to eight evenly distributed) are typical, milled on the surface of the brake disc.
Grooves provide the same cooling benefits as holes, but with less risk of separation and gapping because the grooves do not typically extend over the entire surface of the rotor (although there are some designs on the market today).
The grooves are usually oriented and curved so that they can cover the entire surface of the brake pads, providing much better ventilation than a series of holes. The condition of the brake disc can be assessed based on certain types of cuts.
The grooves also create a "shave" effect that keeps the surface of the brake pads cleaner for better steam contact.
In addition, the presence of cuts works like a grater, increasing the car's braking efficiency.
At the same time, you should be aware that the wear of the pads increases. In order to avoid rapid abrasion, it is recommended to select high-quality pads for such discs.
Drilled:
Drilling 30 to 40 evenly spaced holes in the brake discs improves air ventilation and cooling effect.
The holes actually had an unexpected benefit. They created channels for the extraction of hot gases emitted by the brake pads. Phenolic resins, which are used as a binder to connect brake pads, emit steam when heated excessively. The gas can form a boundary layer between the pads and the brake disc, which reduces friction.
In our case, the boundary layer of gas between the surface of the pads and the brake disc prevents the pads from connecting with the brake disc, reduces friction and braking force, just at the moment when the driver needs it the most.
If the brake disc is perforated or has slots, holes or grooves that separate the boundary layer and allow gas to escape, then the pads can make full contact with the brake discs. In addition, holes and grooves help remove dust and dirt that gets into the space between the brake disc and pads.
At a microscopic level, dirt between the pads and the brake disc can reduce the couple's contact area. Naturally, this also reduces friction and equipment efficiency. Therefore, the holes, while helping to remove dust and dirt, provide the pads with the ability to maintain maximum surface contact.
Other information:
- D2 Racing calipers are machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, and the pistons mounted in them have very high temperature resistance (tested up to 1,000 degrees Celsius).
- D2 Racing managed to keep the caliper's weight low while providing significant improvements in braking power.
- There is a carbon D2 logo on each clamp.
- 5-year warranty against leaks and 10 years against cracks and deformation
- TUV and ISO9001
