VCU (VEHICLE CONTROL UNIT) OVERVIEW

Nexus R5 is Haltech's flagship product, combining the functionality of a power distribution module, data recorder, two-channel wideband controller and an advanced engine management system in one powerful device, which we call VCU (Vehicle Control Unit).

• 4 x 25A (continuous) push-pull PWM outputs (5 kHz) (for powering injectors/coils, gear lock, radiator fan, fuel pump)
• 12 x 8A (continuous) high side outputs (low PWM, 200 Hz) (for powering sensors, NOS solenoids, etc.)
• 18 x peak/hold injector drivers (can be used as low side output)
• 12 x low current ignition outputs (can be used as low side output)
• 8 x low side outputs, PWM (DPO) capable
• 4 x push-pull / h-bridge outputs (8A, PWM capable), e.g. for controlling an electronic throttle
• 23 x 0-5V analog inputs with redundancy for electronic throttle and 5V pullup switchable
• Trigger and home inputs with differential inputs, thresholds and crossover filters
• 10 x synchronous pulse inputs, zero crossing or threshold values ​​- camshaft sensor inputs, frequency inputs or analog inputs 0-5V
