REDSTUFF car brake pads are chosen by our Customers mainly for two reasons. Firstly, because with dust emissions reduced by 60-90%, they are the best product available on the market in this respect. And these minimal amounts of dust are easy to remove by simple washing, because they do not contain steel fibre particles, as is the case with pads from other EBC Brakes series and other brake pad manufacturers. Secondly, even from cold brakes they brake just as well as original pads, and once warmed up they work even more effectively. The linings are made of a friction composite based on Aramid fibres reinforced with ceramic sinters. Compared to the earlier generation of EBC Redstuff pads (with friction linings without a ceramic admixture), this material is light years ahead. It is more durable, brakes better and is quieter. These pads provide impressive effectiveness during frequent intensive braking. Compared with semi-metallic brake pads, they emit significantly less dust and are able to stop a classic saloon, a sports compact car, or a tuned hatchback from a speed of 160 km/h in a distance up to 13 metres shorter compared with the original spare part. They are coated with a special brake-in coating developed by EBC that preserves the disc surface and speeds up the bedding-in process. The nominal friction coefficient is equal to 0,5, with dust emissions reduced by about 50%. They have particular application in four-wheel drive cars such as the Subaru Impreza and Mitsubishi Evo, and are also excellent in heavier cars such as the BMW M3/M5 or Audi A4/A6.
